How dialers, IVR and call routing actually work, and what to buy.
Almost every dialer and IVR comparison ranks products by feature count, which is close to useless because it never explains the trade-off the category exists to manage. A predictive dialer over-dials on purpose, buying agent productivity with abandonment risk. An IVR menu buys routing precision with caller patience.
Once you can see the trade-off, the buying decision gets much simpler. If compliance exposure matters more than throughput, a power dialer removes abandonment entirely at some cost in speed. If callers routinely land in the wrong team, that is a misroute problem and menu depth is making it worse, not better.
These posts also cover the questions worth asking any vendor, of which the most revealing is what happens when the system does not understand the caller. A product that loops a confused person is worse than a plain menu, and the answer to that question separates products faster than a feature grid ever will.
